Meet Our Founder Dr Geoff

VetLove is a dream come true for Gold Coast Family Man/Veterinarian/Philanthropist and Adventurer Dr Geoff Wilson. Dr Geoff has operated in all areas of veterinary science for over 20 years. Starting his career in the early 90’s, in dairy and equine veterinary practices in South Gippsland. He earnt his vet stripes buried in the cold mud of South Gippsland delivering calves and treating penguins on Phillip Island.

A short period in the UK saw Dr Geoff treating all creatures great and small throughout Wales, Scotland and Northern England. One of Dr Geoff’s lucky last patients before coming back to Australia was the Duke of Northumberland’s prize horse!

A passion for soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and inspiring his veterinary teams to be the best they can be professionally and personally, has seen Dr Geoff collaborate his knowledge from a small solo vet clinic, to working in a large corporate environment to obtain an array of experience with a 360 view of the industry. This has led to a percolation of ideas about the most enjoyable way to practice and retain his love of veterinary science.

Whilst Dr Geoff is our founder and primary orthopaedic surgeon across the group, he sadly can’t be at all places at once. Geoff has partnered with some of the best vets in the region, to lead his practices into the future with the focus on a family practice delivered with the same ethos and goals. In this way, we can provide an experience like no other, sharing the VETLOVE each time you meet in a VETLOVE Practice.
