Yuki (a vet by day, cat lady by night....) is originally from Hong Kong and speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin. As her parents operate a veterinary clinic back in Hong Kong, she has technically grown up in this industry. Never questioned about what she wants to do, she moved to Australia in 2009 and completed her lifelong dream by entering vet school. Since graduation from University of Queensland, she has worked from Logan area to the Gold Coast. Recently, she was given the opportunity to become part of the amazing VetLove team. Her areas of interest include soft tissue surgery and feline behaviour. She has a huge furry family which includes six beautiful cats and two gorgeous dogs.
Lynette Hollis - Practice Manager
Lynette, is the proud practice manager of VetLove Jimboomba. She has been nursing since 1996 and throughout her nursing career, she has worked in a range of specialist areas including ophthalmology, orthopaedics, internal medicine, surgery and exotics. Although her family of furry friends have dwindled due to the arrival of non – furry friends, I still have my cats, Perry and Sheldon, my dog, Bundy, and my horses, Mandrake and Jesse. My non – furry animals include my Son, Riley, and my twin girls, Keely and Aleksa, who keep me very busy!!
Michelle Ahern - Veterinary Nurse
I originally resided in Sydney and have been working as a qualified Veterinary Nurse since 2002. I started my nursing journey at Gladesville Veterinary Hospital, where I had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing vets including Dr Max Zuber, a specialist in small animal surgery, orthopaedics and oncology. My time at Gladesville gave me a wide range of knowledge and experience. Due to family, I moved to Queensland in 2007, in where my first child was born. When it was time to go back to work I became the Practice Manager at a Veterinary Clinic in Carrara for 9 years until my husband and I decided to build our first home further out from the coast. I now reside in Mundoolun and am over joyed to be apart of the Vetlove team. My household is a crazy house with two children, my hubby, our Mastiff Rory and Cockatiel Barry.
Danielle Assen - Veterinary Nurse
I am currently studying a certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, I have also studied Applied Science, majoring in Equine studies at the University of Queensland, Gatton. In 2016 I joined Warwick Equine Veterinarians where on Thursdays I work beside Tias Muurlink BVSc (HONS) FANZCVS Registered Specialist in Equine Surgery. I love working with large and small animals and is extremely excited to be apart of the Vetlove team and to be gaining knowledge from my Vetlove coworker on small animals and as a surgical nurse. Outside of work my sister and I breed and train Pure Breed Friesian horses focusing on classical dressage, I have also been raised with German Shepard dogs and currently have my Shepard called Harley.
"My cat was hit by a car in front of our house last week. I rushed to the nearest vet, and even though I was not a client they took us in straight away. Sadly, he did not make it, but the staff were so lovely and gave me time and space to say my goodbyes. This week we received a lovely card from them in the mail. I will certainly be visiting this vet again when we get our next pet".
"Fantastic service, at Vetlove every vet we have seen has been great with our cat and now our new puppy! The little puppy goodie bag is adorable, she is chewing on the new toy now".
"I took my cat in on Saturday morning he was very sick from a tick he had picked up i can not thank Rachelle and her staff enough the care for my beautiful cat was outstanding the communication was 100% spot on i was called twice a day to be told my cats progress and how he was doing as well as the love and cuddles he received he was just treated like their own thank you for saving Smokys life i will never forget all of you".
"The staff here are wonderful and they always seem to be able to fit us in when we have an emergency. Even Oscar and Rory don't seem to mind it (our cats)! Highly recommended."
"VetLove are wonderful, professional, loving care of my friends dog who sustained a nasty dog bite. The procedure fully explained, happy outcome after surgical procedure, after care explained in lay mans terms, cost very reasonable. Throughly recommend this wonderful vet practice. Also noticed how happy staff interact with each other, pet owners and our precious fur babies."
"My little girl Cinnamon very sadly, after putting up a good fight, didn't make it.Simon was her main vet while I also saw Lauren once. The day that I knew it was time to let my little girl go vet Lauren and Mallika were so respectful. Lauren was kind, empathetic, honest, gentle and allowed as much time as I needed to say goodbye. Thankyou".
"Very friendly and knowledgeable staff at Vetlove. We had to take our precious Burmese there and they could not have been more loving and caring as was quite a heartbreaking ordeal and lots of decisions to be made. very patient and thorough explaining everything to us several times and no judgment at all. Helped keep costs low whilst giving our baby the best treatment. Thank you so very much. see you in a week for a check up - 5 STARS most definitely!Coco and Latte our Burmese mummy and daughter"
"Dr Yuki is amazing. Stoked Vetlove is our local looking after our fur babies"
"Thank you all at Vetlove so much for helping Little Bikkie with her laceration. She loved each and every one of you, and I do too! You are all so amazing and helpful and friendly and our little pickle will see you soon. Thank you!"
"This clinic has such welcoming and personable staff. They are very thorough with all of their examinations and has an obvious love of animals no matter how big or small. I had a German Shepherd puppy with an abnormal gait and a Russian Blue cat with plaque on his teeth. Despite the variances in conditions, both of my animals were treated with an equal amount of love and kindness from all the staff. 6 months on, my not so little puppy has a near to perfect gait and my feline prince has nice pearly whites again. All fees are charged at reasonable rates with the convenience of a regional location".
