Tarryn - Practice Manager & Veterinary Nurse
Sam - Customer Service Manager
Sam has been surrounded by animals from the day she was born, from several guard dogs in Papua New Guinea, to owning two Staffy x Cattle Dogs in Germany (needless to say an incredibly rare mix over there), to having a mixed cat and dog house hold, to a dog only household again. Her interest in working in the veterinary industry grew stronger over the years. She eventually started volunteering at the RSPCA and enjoyed it so much. Combining her love of animals and science she then started working as a receptionist/nurse and has been at the same clinic in Ashgrove for the past 9.75 years. Over the years she has adopted three animals from here. She now has three dogs at home - CUJO, her little Terrier x, came in as a stray covered with 15 paralysis ticks and miraculously survived his treatment here at the clinic. THOR, her partner's German Shepherd and last year in August they adopted another German Shepherd girl named VALKYRIE. Recently Sam has transferred over to the Southside clinic.
Maddie - Veterinary Nurse Manager
Growing up on acreage I was surrounded by dogs, horses, guinea pigs, chickens and quails. It was my childhood that instilled a passion for animal care and wellbeing.
These passions lead me to the veterinary industry where I have completed my qualification in veterinary nursing. I absolutely love the hands on aspects of nursing and the ability to make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of all pets by providing excellent patient care.
My household is run by a Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog x Kelpie named Delilah. Delilah was adopted from a rescue group when she was just 13 weeks old. While she may have had a "Ruff" start to life, she is certainly making up for it now with her life of luxury.
My dedication to animal care has provided me with unforgettable opportunities including volunteer projects in conservation on game reserves in South Africa and participating in a spey and neuter clinic in Thailand.
My passion for the industry motivates me to continually undertake further studies to broaden my knowledge and skillset. In the future I intend to utilise this motivation to continue my studies with the veterinary field and participate in further volunteer projects to aid those living in lower socio-economic areas that do not have the access to such veterinary services.
Cameron - Veterinary Nurse
Hello! I’m Cameron, originally from Scotland I moved to Australia when I was 10 years old with my parents and older brother, after completing high school still unsure of what I wanted to do with myself I began volunteering at the RSPCA animal hospital and soon realized this is the industry for me. Soon after this I started at TAFE and completed my certificate 3 in animal studies, which lead me to my first job in the industry (at Southside). I am now studying my certificate 4 in veterinary nursing and absolutely loving it. My favourite part about being in this industry is how rewarding it is, helping so many animal every day and watching them recover warms my heart. I have 2 childhood dogs Bonnie (she’s a Maltese x Shih Tzu) and Archie (he’s a Maltese x Cairn Terrier) that live with my parents. As well as my own beautiful little Blue Heeler Nessie. I enjoy spending time at the beach, in the water, taking Nessie on new adventures and seeing friends and family.
Amanda Torrance - Veterinary Nurse
Amanda has always had a love for animals and believes her house is not a home without her fur babies.
Currently, she has three rescue cats: A naughty tortoiseshell Devon Rex cross, a chilled out ginger Domestic long hair, and a hyperactive chocolate-point Ragdoll kitten - Who all love to snuggle up on the couch every night. Amanda's tribe was first established when she adopted Sergeant, a rescue, who is a beautiful Belgium Malinois cross German Shepherd - His extremely energetic personality always keeps her on her toes.
"My cat was hit by a car in front of our house last week. I rushed to the nearest vet, and even though I was not a client they took us in straight away. Sadly, he did not make it, but the staff were so lovely and gave me time and space to say my goodbyes. This week we received a lovely card from them in the mail. I will certainly be visiting this vet again when we get our next pet".
"Fantastic service, at Vetlove every vet we have seen has been great with our cat and now our new puppy! The little puppy goodie bag is adorable, she is chewing on the new toy now".

"The staff here are wonderful and they always seem to be able to fit us in when we have an emergency. Even Oscar and Rory don't seem to mind it (our cats)! Highly recommended."
"VetLove are wonderful, professional, loving care of my friends dog who sustained a nasty dog bite. The procedure fully explained, happy outcome after surgical procedure, after care explained in lay mans terms, cost very reasonable. "My little girl Cinnamon very sadly, after putting up a good fight, didn't make it.Simon was her main vet while I also saw Lauren once. The day that I knew it was time to let my little girl go vet Lauren and Mallika were so respectful. Lauren was kind, empathetic, honest, gentle and allowed as much time as I needed to say goodbye. Thankyou".
"Very friendly and knowledgeable staff at Vetlove. We had to take our precious Burmese there and they could not have been more loving and caring as was quite a heartbreaking ordeal and lots of decisions to be made. very patient and thorough explaining everything to us several times and no judgment at all. Helped keep costs low whilst giving our baby the best treatment. Thank you so very much. see you in a week for a check up - 5 STARS most definitely!Coco and Latte our Burmese mummy and daughter"
"Dr Yuki is amazing. Stoked Vetlove is our local looking after our fur babies"
"Thank you all at Vetlove so much for helping Little Bikkie with her laceration. She loved each and every one of you, and I do too! You are all so amazing and helpful and friendly and our little pickle will see you soon. Thank you!"
"This clinic has such welcoming and personable staff. They are very thorough with all of their examinations and has an obvious love of animals no matter how big or small. I had a German Shepherd puppy with an abnormal gait and a Russian Blue cat with plaque on his teeth. Despite the variances in conditions, both of my animals were treated with an equal amount of love and kindness from all the staff. 6 months on, my not so little puppy has a near to perfect gait and my feline prince has nice pearly whites again. All fees are charged at reasonable rates with the convenience of a regional location".
